The Statement
I DON'T USE AI TO MAKE EVERYTHING EASY. I USE IT TO MAKE BIGGER THINGS POSSIBLE.
AI is a capability amplifier. Used well, it raises the ceiling of what you can attempt — it does not lower the standard of the work.
The argument
Ease is a low ambition for a technology this capable. If the only result is that existing work takes less effort, the capacity gained disappears into the day.
The more interesting use is scope: attempt the thing that was previously out of reach, build the system you could not staff, test the idea you could not afford to test.
That is the question I keep returning to — what does this make possible that wasn't possible before?
What I observe
Most people use new capacity to do the same work faster. The advantage sits with the ones who use it to do different work.
